From someone who knew me of old

You can revert back to a non-drinker, you know, the place we all start at. People don't change, and I remember you for the most part as not much of a drinker. You were more into reading a book and nibbling at a few Doritos and drinking a Coke ... that's the real you.

I liked that girl, and she's just under the surface.

Thanks for reminding me.

I am pretty sure I know this girl. She's the person I can depend on, the one who reminds me of my strengths when I feel weak. She is the one who listens, who never forgets, who gives the best advice. She sits with me on Saturday mornings; in her pajamas and slippers, groggy-eyed, hair a mess, and talks to me about life; about who we are striving to be, about are fears, regrets, what we want to change, what we wish we had and what we're thankful for. She can make me laugh like no other and lift my mood with just her smile.

And she does all of these things without a drink in her hand.

That chick might want to brush her hair on a Saturday morning, but the rest sounds aces. Thanks for every word, Lori.

And 100%, the same to you.
